Meet The Founder
Precious Avwunuma Emodamori is a Digital Professional at Ben Blossom Studio. She is a gifted Social Media Executive, a Content Manager, an Author, a Photographer and a seasoned Marketer, who combines digital and traditional marketing to create brand awareness, promote public representation and boost businesses.
As a mental health advocate, Precious is a member of the board of trustees for the I Dare To Blossom Foundation, a non-profit Organization dedicated to Mental Health Awareness. She writes and speaks on various issues on Mental Health and on how to deal with them.
In 2019, as a way of celebrating World Suicide Prevention Day, she published one of her works, titled, ‘How To Love Someone Who is Depressed and Suicidal’. Her unique insight and practical approach to life and Mental Health Awareness campaign stems from her everyday living and life experiences being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2003 following a psychotic episode resulting from psychological stress of witnessing her parents’ broken marriage. Still, Precious made up her mind not to let the diagnosis define her. Precious has risen through the odds and come out strong. She is passionate about helping people manage their Mental Health by sharing her experience with them and advising them to seek professional medical attention for their mental health.
As a way of giving back to society, she is committed to helping and encouraging others by using technology and media to raise positive awareness in the mental health space in Nigeria, where she resides with her family. It is her belief that if everyone can support one another, life can be bearable and we can eradicate the stigma around mental illnesses.
Precious has a Diploma in Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. She is a passionate counsellor and through her story, which she shares on www.idaretoblossom.org (Instagram: @idaretoblossom_org; Twitter: @Idaretoblossom; Facebook: Idaretoblossom), she is empowering the world to see that mental health issues are real and anyone can overcome them and live a full life again.
She is married to Reuben, and they have two lovely children.
