I believe that:
Our thoughts produce our words.
Our words produce our actions.
Our actions lead to our habits.
Our habits form our character.
Everything we do—good or bad, verbal and non-verbal—sends a message. People decide how to relate with us based on how much they know about us and how much they trust us. Please save yourself the heartache of feeling misunderstood by choosing to be your authentic self.
Identify your strengths and celebrate them. Face your weaknesses and make a conscious effort to get better each day.
Do not be hard on yourself. Love you. Celebrate you. Work on you to become better. Teach the people around you how to treat you by consistently showing up as your most authentic self.
Concerning David, in 1 Samuel 18:14, it was affirmed:
“And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.” (KJV)
This scripture reassures me that regardless of a mental health diagnosis, I can behave wisely if I am committed to the process.
Are you willing to make a commitment to get better?
